So why is the Edison so much better than other HID lights?

Our unique electronics allows us to provide 16W, as compared to the standard 10W. This increases the light output from the typical 500 lumens to a staggering 900 lumens, or the equivalent of a 65W halogen bulb. Light output on the high setting is noticeably brighter than "standard" 10W systems, and the 18° beam divergence angle is narrow enough to concentrate light effectively yet still offers excellent peripheral lighting even when bar mounted.

The advanced ballast allows the Edison to switch to a lower 10W power level, as well as providing a battery warning and reserve tank feature. No matter if you ride all night long or commute to work a whole week, on 10W power level you don’t have to recharge. In spite of extreme runtimes and brightness the Edison still provides the world’s most compact design.
